This vase is of square baluster form and is covered in a light grey crackle glaze of Ge type, but it does not copy a Song shape. It is probably slightly later in date than the bowl (Ch124). It has been mounted for use as an electric lamp.

E.G. Kennedy was the trade name for E.G. Kostolany, who sold his collection of Chinese monochromes at Sotheby’s on 3rd March 1953.
