Arthur Guy Boucher was a Scholar of Winchester (1911-16) and Scholar-Elect of New College, Oxford. He joined the King’s Rifle Corps as a Second-Lieutenant in December 1916 and was killed in action at Nieuport on 10th July 1917.
This tankard was made to match one given to the College the previous year (Si113) to commemorate Fritz Crawhall, another Scholar serving in the King’s Rifles who was killed on the Western Front.
