These dishes, in the form of palm leaf fans, are painted in underglaze blue and enamel colours with peony plants issuing from rockwork. The green cracked ice pattern borders are reserved with flowers, while the reverse of each dish has three Buddhist symbols (a pearl and two paintings). With their pointed ends, these were probably part of a large double-layer sweetmeat set.
