Presented by the College to ATP Williams, Assistant Master (1915-16); Second Master (1916-24); Headmaster (1924-34). The designer, Reginald Gleadowe (1888-1944), was Drawing Master at Winchester from 1923 to 1939. The dish is in the form of a rose, recalling the arms of William of Wykeham.
Provenance: Commissioned by Winchester College and presented to ATP Williams, 1934; bequest of ATP Williams, 1968 (on loan to the College from 1964)
