The fan-shaped dishes are enamelled, one with a fabulous lion, the other with a deer in a landscape. The borders have butterflies, peonies, peach sprays and other flowers on green grounds within hatched rims. The reverses each have six precious objects. These would have originally been part of a set placed around a dish on a wooden tray.
