This round bowl has almost vertical sides and is painted in the Chenghua “palace” bowl style, with scrolling four petalled flowers and foliage within a lappet border. The interior has a similar flower spray in the base within a single blue line. It has been suggested that the flower is either a stylised pomegranate or poppy. The underside of the base has a Kangxi six-character mark within a double circle.
