This spreading bowl has an everted lip and is painted with the three friends of winter (pine, prunus and bamboo) on the exterior. The interior has a narrow border and a medallion to the centre. The underside of the base is painted with a Kangxi six-character mark within a double circle. Though this bowl has the Kangxi mark it was probably not made for the emperor.
