These belong to the same class of ware as the pair of vases (Ch33), and a similar incense burner was excavated from the tomb of a certain Yuan Langzhen dated to 1456. These wares are known as minyao (commercial kilns). In the Palmer sale they were firmly catalogued as Yuan.
