Pair of Bowls [Ch2]
Yaozhou, Shaanxi Province; Northern Song Dynasty, 11th century
Stoneware with incised decoration under a green glaze (D. 12.7 cm)
The deep conical bowls have slightly everted lips, the exteriors carved with overlapping petals, the interiors plain with single lines round the bases, the glazes of a fine even dark olive-green colour.
