Assembled from two joining pieces. Half of the rim, the handle, and a small part of the base are missing. Made from coarse buff clay, with no apparent decoration.

A simple version of the kylix (or stem cup), a common form of Minoan and Mycenaean drinking cup (see Gr85 for a Mycenaean example).

Excavated at Phylakopi, Melos, c. 1899; Thomas Dinham Atkinson (1864–1948), by whom bequeathed to Winchester College in 1948.
