The College’s Parthenon Frieze casts are probably by the London firm Domenico Brucciani & Co. They must have been purchased for the school in the early to mid 1890s, since an article published in The Wykehamist (no. 336, 16th June 1897) includes mention of a recent effort ‘to decorate our class-room passages with casts and photographs’. Pictures taken in the summer of 1914, when the Wiltshire Yeomanry regiment was billeted in the College, show several of the Parthenon casts fixed to the walls of the classroom block known as Flint Court.
