This wax tomb was presented to the Wardens of New College, Oxford and Winchester College in 1847 as a proposal for the restoration of William of Wykeham’s tomb and Chantry in Winchester Cathedral. It was accompanied by a pamphlet and a wax model of the Chantry, now at New College.
